| HC stays teacher’s transfer order | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 8: Staying the transfer order of a teacher issued by the CEO and cancelled by his junior colleague, the Jammu and Kashmir High Court has issued notice to the state of Jammu and Kashmir through Principal Secretary Education returnable within three weeks and ordered that the impugned order shall remain stayed till next date of hearing. Nazir Ahmed teacher working in the middle school Sahab in his petition submitted that he was transferred by the order of Chief Education Officer Reasi by an order issued on September 17, 2008 as CRP at Lar. However, the Zonal Education Officer Mahore on September 25, 2008 cancelled the order which was challenged by the petitioner. Justice Sunil Hali of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Adv Shafiq-ur-Rehman appearing for the petitioner issued notice to State of J&K through Principal Secretary Education, Director School Education Jammu, Chief Education Officer Reasi and Zonal Education Officer Mahore returnable within three weeks and till the next date of hearing the order impugned shall remain stayed.
