| Burglars’ racket busted in Bathindi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 8: Jammu Police today claimed to have busted an organized racket of burglars with arrest of a kingpin and his accomplices from Bathindi area. Police sources said that Bathindi police held six thieves and recovered stolen property worth lakhs of rupees from their possession. Bathindi police led by in charge police post Sajad Haider and SHO Trikuta Nagar Wahid Giri under the supervision of SDPO East Sandeep Mehat and SSP Jammu, Manohar Singh on tip off conducted a raid in the house of one Bahar Din son of Aziz Bali, a resident of Mahore at present Bathindi in Bathindi area and recovered stolen material worth lakhs of rupees including three refrigerators, three motorcycles bearing registration numbers JK02R,786, JK02T,5629 and one is without number, one scooter, one gas cylinder, some gas chullas and three blankets from his possession. During his interrogation he told the name of his other companions to police and accordingly police conducted raids in different areas and held five other thieves in the Bathindi area. They have been identified as Mirali son of Khurshid, Sajid Hussain son of Shabir Hussain, Mirali wife of Shah Mohammad, Zahid son of Mohammad Salimand Mohammad Younis son of Hussain Ali all residents of Rajouri at present living in the Bithindi area. Zahid son of Mohammad Salim is stated to be the main kingpin of the gang. A case under section 457,380 RPC under FIR number 189/08 has been registered against them in this regard. Their interrogation is on and more breakthrough is expected. |
