| Rs 22000 stolen in corporator’s hotel | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 9: Two customers lost their rupees twenty two thousand in a hotel, belong to the corporator of BJP, situated in the heart of city but police speak ambiguously to register FIR against the owner due to his influence. Vijay Kumar,Satpaul and Amit Gupta all residents of Surankote booked a suite in a hotel identified as Sain Kripa situated in Supermarket area and stayed in the hotel for a night but early in the morning when they searched their bags they found their twenty three thousand missing they enquired to the hotel management but of no avail they then approached to the City police station but there too they were disgusted by the treatment meted out to them as the hotel belonged to the corporator therefore police refused to register a case in this regard. Later the matter was brought to the notice to the SDPO Swatantrata Arora who assured them register of case and appropriate action against those who found to be guilty. Speaking to Early Times trio said that they came to the Jammu to buy some articles and the boy Satpaul had to buy a computer and had rupees twenty thousand in his bag and today when they woke up they found the door opened as somebody might enter into the room through the window that did not shut because of cable wire entering through it. Rupees twenty two thousand, twenty thousand from the bag of Satpaul and rupees two thousand from the bag of Vijay Kumar was stolen while third one thanked the God as his amount was saved as he put his amount under his pillow before went to bed. Where as in order to lodge a complaint they sat in City police station for eight hours and till late evening no case was registered in this regard in spite of SDPO assurances, they maintained. |
