JAMMU, Oct 10: Gita Karwal, President Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), White Knight Corps visited the Crossed Swords Division today on her farewell visit. On arrival, she was received by Sayona Philip, President AWWA Crossed Swords Division.
Over 400 families of jawans were present at an impressive function which was organized on the occasion.
Gita Karwal in her farewell address expressed her admiration for all the good work done under the aegis of AWWA in the Crossed Swords Division, especially the projects for women empowerment, taking excellent care of over 60 Veer Naris and the various primary schools being run by AWWA for small children at Akhnoor, Tanda, Rakhmuthi, Pallanwala and Sunderbani. |
