| Panthers for reservation to IB residents | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 10: Yuva Panthers has demanded reservation for residents of International Border at par with those residing on the LoC in J&K. Addressing media persons here today, state vice president Yuva Panthers and member state working committee, JKNPP Romesh Khajuria said the people residing on International Border in Jammu are facing hardships since long. While criticizing the successive governments for ignoring them, Khajuria alleged that no body bothered for the welfare and demanded that a special recruitment drive should be launched for the adjustments of their wards in Armed Forces besides allotment of five marla plots to the residents in safer zones. The Yuva panther leader said the electricity charges of pump sets used for irrigation purposes may be waved off and a compensation package for damaged crops sanctioned at the earliest as farmers are facing huge damage in crops due to winds and bad weather. |
