| Handicapped get wheel chairs, crutches in Kargil | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KARGIL, Oct 12: A tam of Technical experts by Ranbir Singh from Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust (RNC) the other day Mumbai organized two days screening cum distribution camp of assertive devise and support among the physically impaired persons and children of Zanskar sub divisions. During the camp distributed 129 calipers, 75 numbers of crutches and 8 numbers of wheel chairs benefiting 212 needy persons including 20 children of 6-14 age groups with the support of district administration. The programme was monitored by the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Zanskar, Block Medical Officer, Zonal Education Officer and Sub Divisional level Officers. Having being first of its nature in Zanskar sub division, the officials of Health department, ZRPs/CRPs and field worker of social welfare department extend their full cooperation to make the programme fruitful. The SDM Zanskar, GR Wani expressed his gratitude to the Charitable Trust and requested to continue support in future also. District Coordinator SFG, SSA, Kargil Skarma Junglay who was the only local person along with the team in Zanskar in order to facilitate the disable children said since the last year, a tam of Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust Mumbai extending their support in the field which really beneficial and an encourage-able, he added. |
