| Niaz wants technical centers in Doda | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 12: Former Minister Mohammad Sharief Niaz in a statement has well come to the historical decision taken by the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson, UPA with regard to taking up IInd Phase of the 450 MW Baglihar Hydel Project in hand, besides other Hydel projects which are having great potential for generation of power like Pakal Dul,, Kawar, Kiru and MOU and taking up these up these projects in Joint venture between JKSPDC, NHPC, PTC were signed soon after announcement made by the Prime Minster during his visit to the district in connection with inauguration of the Hydel Project Baglihar. He said by taking up execution of these projects in joint venture would generate the employment avenue for the young and educated un-employed youth of the erstwhile entire Doda district.
Niaz said that Govt of India is going to establish special technical training institute (STTI) in some state of the country and demanded that one such type of institute be established somewhere in the erstwhile Doda or Kishtwar district for importing special training to the local ITI trained and other unemployed youths especially to those who already worked with different Hydro electric project so that their services could be fully utilized in these projects. He also demanded for recruitment of local youth in these projects. |
