| Religios function held under Mahant’s supervision | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 12: A religious function was organized by International Shabad Guru (ISGK) counsel under the supervision of Mahant, Majit Singh of Shriomani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch in connection to celebrate Tri Century celebration of Holy Guru Granth Sahib. More than 25000 of devotees participated in the function. Ragis and Preachers participated and throw light on the education of Holy Granth Sahib and said that we have to adopt the education of Guru Granth Sahib which teaches us love, unity brotherhood and Honesty.
They stressed upon the general masses and Sikh Sangat to adopt the Gurbani of Ten Gurus practically. So that we can get the peace of mind. The Guru Ka Langer was distributed among the Sangat and Amrit sanchar was also held, in which 5000 were baptized by Holy Amrit. The Amrit Sanchar was provided by SGPC Amritsar free of cost and sikh priest from Akal Thakat Sahib Amritsar served the Amrit among the Amrit Dharis. Mahant Manjit Singh on the occasion stressed upon the Sikh Sangat to adopt the education of Holy Guru Granth practically and avoid drugs, wines and became Amrit Dhari. He also appeal to the Sikh Sangat that a train to move from Jammu to Takhat Shree Hanzoor Sahib, Naderh Maharashtra on 17th Oct. to celebrate the World wise 300s year Shabati of Gurta Gaddi Divas. He said Guru Gobind Singh directed the Sikhs on 25th Oct. 1708 before 300s year back adopt their Guru Granth Sahib after me. He also appeal to the Sikhs to deposited Rs. 1500/- fare of the train from both sides till 16th Oct. 2008 at Digiana Ashram Jammu. The said train will return back to Jammu 23rd Oct. 2008.

Swarn Singh Khalsa many religious boides and Sikh organization of J&K including elected members of state Gurudwar Prabandak Board, Members of DGPC, Jammu, SAD, Syad, Bhai Kaniya Jee Nishkam Sewa Society, AISSF, Sikh Naujawan Sabha, Sikh Istri Sudhar Sabha and Presidents, Secretaries of local gurudwaras Management Committees of Jammu District were present on the occasion. |
