| Dillawar asks PDP workers to gear up | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 13: Former Minister and senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Dilawar Mir today exhorted the party workers to highlight the achievements of coalition regime headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayed. Addressing a meeting of party workers at party headquarters here today Dilawar Mir said that as Chief Minister of the State Mufti Mohammad Sayed had set an example of good governance and it was responsibility of cadre to educate the masses about the revolutionary steps which were taken during his regime. Listing various developmental projects and policies which were implemented in the State in general and Jammu region in particular he said the "need of the hour is to educate the masses about that policies", and asked the party workers to counter the vilification campaign launched by some vested interests against PDP. Appreciating role played by the PDP workers during two month long agitation in Jammu he said that PDP workers frustrated evil designs of divisive forces which were hell bent to create communal division to further their political interests. Reiterating party’s resole to remove regional disparities, Rajya Sabha member Trilok Singh Bajwa pointed out that the coalition regime under the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayed has created equal opportunities of development and upliftment for all regions and sub-regions of the State. Vice president and MLC Ved Mahajan flayed some political groups for taking credit of the developmental works which were started during Mufti’s regime. Party general secretary Daman Bhasin said that it was all due to visionary policies of PDP leadership that peace has been prevailed on LoC and International Border. He specially mentioned the on going visit of the traders from across the border and said it was all due to the sincere efforts of Mufti that such conducive atmosphere has been created for starting trans LoC trade. Former Minister Rafiq Khan pointed towards developmental projects started in twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri and said that it was only during the tenure of Mufti that equal opportunities of development were provided in these areas also. |
