| Mayor kick starts development activity in ward No 9 | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, June 10: Continuing his drive to provide better development & civic amenities to the citizens of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor along with Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation, Romesh Arora ex MLC , Suneet Kumar Raina Councilllor of ward no.9 today kick started the upgradtion work of Vatika/Park near Hari Palace,Manda Jammu.
Anil kumar Gupta ,executive engineer Raman Kaphai assistant executive engineer, Saym Sheikh Junior Engineer & other Supervisory staff of Project Division JMC, concerned Contractor,. Kuldeep Gupta & other prominent inhabitants of Karan nagar & its surrounding localities were also present .
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor said that the tourists/ pilgrims from various parts of the India pass through the area which is the main entrance point of Jammu city. Besides this, citizen of Jammu in large numbers also visits Manda & its surrounding locality for morning & evening walk and in order to provide better eco-friendly atmosphere, the much needed up gradation work of this vatika by way of establishment of a well furnished Kanopi, laying of benches for sitting purpose, fixing of iron grills all around the site as well as retaining wall, making of at least two numbers of domes of clay for beautification & other allied works and the amount of Rs 7.80 lakh has already been sanctioned for this purpose. He directed the concerned Engineering Wing to complete all this development activity within the stipulated time frame & by applying best quality & durable construction materials & up to the satisfaction of the locals and concerned councilor of the ward and also appeal to the general public to come forward & cooperate with JMC & other Executive agencies in all the development activities being undertaken by them in various wards of the city so that Jammu can be made really a smart city. |
