| Mastermind behind BRO killing surrenders | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 13: HuJI "district commander" and the alleged mastermind behind killing of five Border Road Organisation (BRO) personnel in last May, has surrendered before security forces, official sources said today.
Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (HuJI) member Dulla Bakerwal alias Jameel, accused of killing Lt Col Ajay Verma and four others of BRO, surrendered before security forces last night in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Under pressure due to raids by security forces and police to track him down, he surrendered before army and police and laid down one AK rifle, 2 magazines and several rounds, sources said.
He was being interrogated in connection with killing of five BRO men in Paddar area of the district. |
