| Kazmi demands compensation for injured PDD linemen | | |

JAMMU, June 13: State President Apni Trade Union Ajaz Kazmi appealed administration to enquire about those employees especially the linemen of Power Development Department who received severe electric shocks while performing front line duties during Covid-19 pandemic and are fighting between death and life in hospitals.
In a statement issued today here, Kazmi expressed displeasure over the complete neglect of the employees of Power Development Department especially linemen who have been performing front line duties all the time including this pandemic period also and many of them have lost their precious lives and many are admitted in hospitals in severe position but unfortunately neither any one from their department bothered to visit the hospitals to enquire about their well being nor their families were considered for monetary help by the Government.
Kazmi strongly appealed Principal Secretary PDD J&K to issue directions to the concerned authorities, MD JPDC, Chief Engineers PDD and Executive Engineer concerned to visit the hospitals forthwith to enquire about the well being of these frontline warriors - linemen and compensate the affected families on priority basis by including these left out front line employees in relief provisions of Covid-19 pandemic under Government provision. |
