EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Oct 14: To monitor the functioning of the administration and ensuring effective delivery of various services during the winter months, the Government has ordered the establishment of Winter Secretariat at Srinagar, after the bi-annual Darbar Move to Jammu. A Raj Bhavan Spokesman said here today that Governor, N. N. Vohara, has desired his Advisors to remain headquartered at Srinagar on rotational basis. In this context, a roster has also been formulated. The Governor shall himself be visiting Srinagar three to four times every month to chair important review meetings, the spokesman added. According to the roster, H. H. Tyabji, Advisor to Governor, will remain headquartered at Srinagar from November December, 21-31, 2008. Dr. Sudhir S. Bloeria, Advisor to Governor will remain in Srinagar from December 1-10, 2008 and January 1-10, 2009. C. Phunsog, Advisor to Governor shall remain headquartered at Srinagar from December 11-20, 2008 and January 11-20, 2009. Depending upon the schedule of the Election to the State Assembly, the aforesaid roster will be suitably reviewed. The Winter Secretariat, which shall operate in the Civil Secretariat, Srinagar, shall comprise one Special Secretary/Additional Secretary, two Deputy Secretaries /Under Secretaries, two Stenographers, four each Head assistants, Senior and Junior Assistants and other staff. |
