| CS reviews darbar move arrangements | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Oct 14: Chief Secretary S. S. Kapur today reviewed the arrangements made for the annual darbar move at a high level meeting here today. The meeting decided that for carrying office records from Srinagar to Jammu, SRTC would provide required number of truck fleet, besides, buses for the employees. The buses would be available on October 25, 26, November 1, 2, 8 and 9, 2008 for the employees moving from Srinagar to Jammu. The trucks and buses carrying record and employees would be provided necessary security. Traffic police has also been asked to check over charging from moving employees by the Sumo during the move days. It was also decided that Deputy Commissioners of Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam, Ramban and Udhampur would make necessary arrangements for ensuring availability of hygienic food items for the move employees on the national highway. The Health Department would provide medical facilities including stand by ambulances at all hospitals along with the national highway and the doctors would also be provided by Director Health Services Kashmir to accompany the convoy during the move days. Addressing the meeting the Chief Secretary asked the concerned departments to be in close coordination to facilitate the moving of employees. He asked the Estates Department to ensure proper accommodation for the moving employees and see that proper cleanliness and other facilities are provided to them at residential quarters. The meeting was attended by Commissioner/Secretary, General Administration Department, Commissioner/Secretary Health, Commissioner/Secretary, CAPD, IG P Security, IG Home, Director General Garages, Director General Finance, Special Secretary to Governor, Director Estates and representatives of employees. |
