| Symposium, essay writing competition organized on Yoga | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 14: A symposium and essay writing competition was organized by the Directorate of Ecology, Environment & Remote Sensing at Government Women’s College Parade in collaboration with the NSS unit the College on the Topic “Yog is the best Therapy for curing mental disorder”. Uma Sharma, President Patanjali Yog Samati Jammu was the chief guest.
Prof. Simitri Sharma, Principal Govt. Women’s College, Parade presided over the function. R.C Sharma of Environmental Soil Conservationist told how Yoga and Environment are related to each other. He stressed that neat and clean pollution free Environment is required to perform Yoga. The students of the college also expressed their views and worries for their future due to ever increasing pollution related problems and deforestation.
Prizes were distributed among the winner. Heena Malhotra, Shivani Gupta and Mehak Gupta of B.Sc part (II) stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Publicity material and refreshment was distributed among the participants and guests by the Department. |
