| Shopping complex inaugurated in temple complex | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 14: A shopping complex comprising of 19 shops constructed by Sanatan Dharam Sabha Handwara in Shiv Mandir Complex Handwara was inaugurated on October 9. Kuldeep Raina, President Zaishta Devi Prabandak Committee Srinagar was Chief Guests and B.L Pandita (Advocate) President Sanatan Dharam Sabha Handwara presided over the function. Before inauguration ceremony the pilgrims prayed at Ganesh Temple Handwara and proceeded to Mata Badher Kali temple (Handwara) where a Hawan was performed on the eve of Mahanavmi. About 300 yatries from Delhi, Jammu and other parts of Kashmir visited the holy shrine. Giving details M.K Pandita, general secretary, Sanatan Dharam Sabha Handwara apprised the pilgrims and local people that the shopping complex has been constructed under the supervision of newly elected body of Sabha with the help of local administration and the people in general and shopkeepers in particular. He appealed local interested people to apply for allotment of shops. It was also hoped that the shopping complex besides strengthening the bonds of brotherhood among the people shall also serves as income generating source for maintenance of the Mandir and its complex, Prominent citizens and dignitaries from Handwara were also present on the occasion, the release added. |
