| Kilam visits Colleges | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 14: Dr Meenakshi Kilam Director, Colleges Development Council, has said that the need of the hour is capacity building in communication and computing skills for students and motivating and developing faculty for exploring possibilities of Industry-Academia collaboration. These two initiatives would enhance the career prospects of the students. She urged the colleges to lay stress on faculty development programmes in order to emerge as model institutions of Public-Private partnership in higher professional education. During the course of inspection of various colleges, she appreciated the up gradation in infrastructure and learning resources created by these institutions and enhanced use of Information and Communication Technology in teaching-learning process during the last one year. A team headed by Dr. Kilam, visited various institutions offering professional Post Graduate programmes –MBA and MCA- to assess the improvements made for the current academic year. |
