| Omar demands relief for fire victims | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Oct 14: Expressing sympathies with those losing properties in devastating fire, President J&K National Conference, Omar Abdullah has urged the state government to provide immediate relief to the fire victims of Choidraman Warwan Kishtwar.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Umar Abdullah said that he came to know that despite lapse of over four days, no relief has been provided to the people who have lost their home and hearths.
He said government should immediately depute a team which should visit the effected area, carry out a survey and provide immediate relief to the effected families.
He said the suffering of the people of the area cannot be overlooked and taken casually by the government in view of the fast approaching winter. |
