| Ex-servicemen rally at Gurah Salathian | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 15- An ex-servicemen rally was organized by the Tiger Division at Gurah Salathian today. Despite heavy rain, a large number of ex-servicemen and veer naries attended the rally.
On this occasion stalls were put up by the Zila Sainik Board and recruiting organization to encourage self employment among the retired soldiers. Besides, registering the problems of the ex-servicemen at the grievance cell, free medical camp was also held at the rally site. Several war widows were provided sewing machines on the occasion.
The rally was addressed by Brigadier (Retd) K S Kotwal and Hony Captain (Retd) Bana Singh and praised the efforts being made by the army for the employment and upliftment of the ex-servicemen.
Speaking on behalf of the Tiger Division, Brigadier B S Negi Commander 92 Infantry Brigade remembered the sacrifices of the people of the area and promised all possible help to the ex-servicemen and their families. |
