| JSS campaigns for statehood | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 15: Asserting that Jammu region can get political empowerment only with the constitution of separate state; Jammu Sangarsh Samiti (JSS) has resolved to intensify movement for reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir State.
Addressing media persons here today, Amarnath Gupta, president JSS has appealed to the mainstream political parties in Jammu and Kashmir, including the Kashmir centric parties, to support this demand, since the same is in the interest of Kashmiris as well.
He said that formation of separate states of Jammu and Kashmir and union territory to Ladakh, as per the demand of the latter, will in no way lead to bitterness among the people in three distinct units. |
