Jammu, June 25: Dogra Degree College, Bari Brahmana in collaboration with IBS Gurgaon organized a series of webinars from 23rd to 25th of June, 2021 for the students of Business Administration, Commerce & Arts. The webinar was organized with the intention to guide the student’s persuing their graduation for the challenges in terms of career designing and job opportunities.
On the day one i.e. 23rd June, 2021 a webinar on “Digital Marketing” was organized for the BBA students. Around 100 participants marked their presence. The prominent speaker for the day was Dr. Vibha Arora, Associate Dean at ICFAI Business School. The speaker discussed in detail the growing scope of digital marketing in today’s virtual world. She threw light on the use of SEO & SEM in digital marketing and shared success stories of young entrepreneurs who use this technology to their advantage and are running successful business today. The session finally ended with the placing of vote of thanks by Ms. Aradhana Sharma, Lecturer in Business Management.
On the day two i.e. 24th June, 2021 a lecture on “Careers After Graduation” was conducted for the commerce students. Near about 120 students participated in this webinar. In the elaborative session pertaining to career guidance and interview preparations, the various topics were touched upon by the eminent speaker Prof Umesh Kalra. He deliberated upon the ways and strategies students should practice to achieve success in the various competitive examinations such as RRB, SSC, CGL, CHSL, CDS, OTM, MTS, PCS, P.O, and Civil Services. He also dwelled upon the online educational sources and their effective use along with higher educational opportunities and professional courses. He urged the students to work on goal setting and time management to be successful in life and shared tips to face interviews on the virtual platform in the changing scenario. He introduced different professional services and gave description about work culture associated with each respective service both at Central level and state level. In the concluding session the queries of the students’ were taken up and cleared. The concluding remarks were presented by Ms. Shivani Kashyap, Lecturer in Commerce.
On day three i.e. 25th June, 2021 a webinar on “Integrated Personality Development and Communication Skills” was organized for the Arts graduates. The guest speaker was Dr. Sangeeta Shahane, currently Associate Dean at ICFAI Business School, Gurgaon. She interacted with the students and staff and elaborated on the various soft skills and how an individual can develop his/her soft skills. The interactive lecture was quite engaging and the guest speaker able to hold the attention of all the attendees. The webinar was attended by around 80 students from B.A department. The webinar concluded with the Vote of thanks by Ms. Aditi Khajuria, Lecturer in English.
Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, Samerdev Singh Charak and Principal, Bela Thakur and all faculty members of Dogra Degree College mark their presence in the webinars. All the attendees found these webinar beneficial and were enlighten by this knowledge sharing exercise.
