EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 16: Known for its pioneering work in propagating creative literature in the state, Adbi Kunj, held a composite poetic meet at its literary centre New Shastri Memorial H/S School, Talab Tillo, Jammu and was presided over by poet and writer Dr. J.S Rissam. The proceedings were conducted by Nargis Sitara also know literature figure of the state.
The meet started with recitation of two ghazals by Sitara followed by ghazals by Deepak Aarsi, Talib Kashmiri, Ashok Samriti, Tariq Ali Raza, Sibtze Raza, Pyassa Anjum, Raj Kumar Uttam (All in Urdu), Raj Kamal (Punjabi), Daya Ram Daya, Nirmal Bhardwaj (Dogri), Zeenat Firdous (Pahari) and J.S Rissam, Kimti Lal Deewana, Babli Zutshi, Ganesh Dutt (All in Hindi).
On the occasion Muni Lal Puri read out a satirical sketch titled ‘Mera Pehla Janam’. Tributes were paid to eminent writer R.K Narayan on his 102nd birth anniversary. The meet concluded with vote of thanks presented by Com. Jaswant SIngh, Chief Organizer Adbi Kunj, J&K, Jammu. |
