JAMMU, Oct 16: To defend their title, Government SPMR College of Commerce shall take on Acharya Shrichandra College of Medical Sciences in the final of the inter-college men’s table tennis competitions organized by the Department of Physical Education, University of Jammu at Indoor Hall of the University, here tomorrow.
Earlier, in the semi-finals, played today, Commerce College defeated Government MAM College (Evening) 3-0 while ASCOMS registered victory over equally good Degree College Udhampur again 3-0.
In the quarterfinals, Udhampur College defeated last year’s No. 2 position holders, Post Graduate (PG) Departments rather easily 3-0. The second quarterfinal was won by ASCOMS beating Degree College Kathua 3-0. To make it into the semi-finals, Commerce College trounced New Age Degree College again 3-0. In the fourth quarterfinal, MAM (Evening) College got walkover Degree College Bhaderwah.
Today’s matches in both men and women sections were officiated by the team which comprised of Ravish Vaid, Meenu, Rajesh and Rajan Tah.
