JAMMU, Oct 16: The combined team of Post Graduate Departments of University of Jammu today lifted the inter-college (Women’s) swimming trophy after they won both the gold medals decided at MA Stadium swimming pool, here.
Only two colleges took part in the competitions which held only for two events of 50 meters free style and 100 meters breast stroke.
In 500 meters free style, the gold went to Pallavi Sharma of PG while 100 meters breast stroke gold was bagged by Deepanshi Ishar, again of PG Departments. The second positions in both the events were secured by Government College for Women (GCW) Parade. However, both PG Departments and GCW Parade shared the third places.
The inter-college swimming competitions were organized by the Department of Physical Education, University of Jammu.

50 mts Free Style: Pallavi Sharma, PG Depatments, Ist; Shagun Gupta, GCW Parade, 2nd and Milli Mahajan, PG Departments, third.
100 mts Breast Stroke: Deepanshi Ishar, PG Departments, Ist; Aanchal Vasudev, GCW Parade, 2nd and Shagun Gupta, GCW Parade, third. |
