| Live grenade recovered near Railway Station | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 16: A major tragedy has been averted with the timely recovery of a live grenade near Jammu Railway Station today.
Informed sources informed that a live HE-36 grenade was recovered from the Railway Colony (West) Jammu this morning. "The grenade was found wrapped in a bag which was lying abandoned near Railway Station", a police officer told
Sources said that the bag was noticed lying near colony by some passersby who informed the Railway police.Cops rushed to the spot and seized the grenade, sources added.
Police sources said that the grenade might have been shifted by some army personnel and fearing arrest he dropped it near railway station. Police is investigating the matter. |
