JAMMU, Oct 17: Sailing on the superb performance of State Champion, Chandpreet Kour, Acharya Shrichandra College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS) today lifted the table tennis trophy in annual inter-college competitions organized by Department of Physical Education, University of Jammu at Indoor Hall of the University here.
In the final, ASCOMS defeated the Government College for Women (GCW) Parade 3-1.
Likewise in the semi-finals, Chandpreet won both her singles matches and helped his team clinched the title.
In the first match, Chandpreet Kour defeated Nidhi in straight equal sets 11-8, 11-8 and later trounced Bhumika in well contested match 12-10, 12-8.
The results: ASCOMS bt GCW Parade 3-1. Singles: Bharti Gupta bt Bhumika 4-11, 3-11; Chandpreet Kour bt Nidhi 11-8, 11-8; Isha Gupta bt Mega Jamwal 4-11, 11-8, 11-8. Reverse singles: Chandpreet Kour bt Bhumika 12-10, 12-8. |
