JAMMU, Oct 17: In the men’s final, played today at the same venue, Government SPMR College of Commerce won the title for record third time in a row thus showing complete dominance in inter-college table tennis competitions.
In the title clash, Commece College outplayed Acharya Shrichandra College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS) 3-0.
The results: Commerce College bt ASCOMS 3-0: Singles: Ahil Gupta bt Pankaj 11-6, 11-6, 11-5; Vikram Dhruv bt Rohan Sood 11-8, 11-7, 11-7; Taresh bt Sumit 11-9, 12-10, 11-7.
In the finals, Principal Commece College, Dr Sham Lal Gupta was chief guest. He interacted with the finalist teams and witnessed the matches. Prominent among others present were Anchal Singh, Satinder Singh Sudan, SS Gill (Assitant Commandant BSF), Shanti Dogra, Dr Harmit Singh Sudan, Menu Ragesh and Romesh Sharma (PTI Campus).
Today’s finals were officiated by Ravish Vaid and Rajan Tah under the supervision of Ramesh Magotra. |
