| 82 SIs promoted as Inspectors | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 19: Jammu & Kashmir government on Saturday ordered promotions of 82 Sub Inspectors of Police as Inspectors while a proposal to strengthen the Railway Wing of police is likely to get nod next week.
Official sources told that eighty two Sub Inspectors of Jammu & Kashmir Police have been promoted as Inspectors. As per order, seventy five SIs were promoted from the Executive Police Wing while seven were from Armed Police Wing. All seventy five of Executive wing who were promoted last night belonged to the 1995 batch. These SIs were promoted after long delay.
To strengthen the Railway Wing of police, government is likely to make the deployment from the top to the lower level.
Sources informed that the deployment will be made right from DySP level to the followers so that the wing could function normally. |
