| JKDF calls for immediate resumption of Indo-Pak peace talks | | |
Jammu, Sept 12: Urging the Government to expedite dialogue with Pakistan, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum today said the best way to counter violence in the state was by strengthening the peace process.
"Stopping the peace process will have dangerous consequences for Jammu and Kashmir, which was reeling towards normalcy," JKDF President Pandit Bhushan Bazaz said here after a three-week-long tour of the Kashmir Valley.
"There was a need for immediate resumption of Indo-Pakistan peace talks, besides holding dialogue with the separatist leaders in Jammu and Kashmir," he said.
"If violent incidents put an end to peace process, the alternative will again be violence," he said, and added that the best way to counter violence is to strengthen the peace process and ensure that the concept of sanity and dialogue prevails.
He expressed serious concern over the selling of property by large number of migrant Kashmiri Pandits.
"It is a matter of great concern that Pandits are selling their property in the Valley," he said. |
