He said the six years of the coalition rule has raised the graph of unemployment, inflation and brought the state of Jammu and Kashmir among the top two corrupt states of the country. He said the two parties made tall claims and promises to the people of the state but could not deliver on those promises. The sky rocketing prices have broken the back of the common man and the coalition government witnessed all this as a mute spectator. Unemployment among the educated youth has multiplied. It is unfortunate that the youth which constitutes the wealth of a nation is today in a state of frustration due to criminal negligence of the government, he said. Taking a dig at the BJP, Gupta said what Congress and PDP could not do, the BJP did, he said adding that the BJP added fuel to the fire and tried to divide the state on regional and religion basis.
