People fed up with traditional hollow slogans, Bukhari

Srinagar, July 10: Asserting that his party has always advocated for development of all regions without any disparity, Apni Party (AP) president Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Saturday said people are fed up with traditional hollow slogans now.
Addressing a function in Srinagar today when leaders of other political parties joined AP , Bukhari said the Party has always advocated for the holistic development of all the regions and sub regions of Jammu and Kashmir without any disparity or favoritism.
''People of J&K are now fed up with the hollow slogans that have been a tradition in the past,'' he said, adding ''AP has firmly upheld the principle of truthful politics which demands resoluteness and sincerity in efforts.''
On the occasion, Sarpanch Behibagh Kulgam Riyaz Ahmad Shah, Sarpanch Asthal and BDC Behibagh Afroza Akhtar along with scores of political activists from various parts of district Kulgam led by Party leader Reyaz Ahmadjoined the party-fold, a spokesman of the AP claimed.
He said Bukhari impressed on the new entrants to work selflessly for uplifting the poor and underprivileged besides putting unswerving efforts for alleviating the sufferings of the people in their respective areas.
The new entrants thanked the party leadership for providing them with a relatable political platform and also pledged to work stanchly for the public welfare and strengthen the party at base levels.
Meanwhile, spokesman said, various panchayat members and prominent political activists hailing from Tral of Pulwama district on Saturday joined the party in Srinagar.
The new entrants who joined Apni Party included ex-National Conference worker Mir Umar Rashid, Panch Sumanjeeb Singh, Panch Nirpal Singh along with a dozen other political activists.
Welcoming the new entrants into the party-fold, Mohammad Ashraf Mir said that Apni Party is resolute in regards with its commitments made with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
''Apni Party's politics is based on truthfulness and it will always adhere to the principle which demands sincerity and unwavering efforts to ease out the sufferings of people. The welfare of people is our prime concern,'' he remarked.
Mir said that in all our political endeavors, the Party has always kept the issues of public welfare at the forefront. He said: ''The Party's activity timeline is enough to exhibit our numerous efforts put forth for resolving the genuine public grievances and voicing the pressing concerns of the people.''
He also impressed upon the new entrants along with the party leaders and workers from Pulwama to work assiduously for the redressal of public grievances while strengthening the party at the base levels in their respective areas.
On the occasion, the new entrants thanked the party leadership for providing them with a relatable platform and pledged to strengthen the party at grassroots level.
