| Vote NC for massive employment: Slathia | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT VIJAYPUR, Oct 19: Former minister and senior National Conference leader Surjeet Singh Slathia has said that National Conference will usher an era of unprecedented development in Jammu and Kashmir if voted to power. Kicking off his election campaign with an impressive rally from Bari Brahmana To Badori, he said when the National Conference government came to power in1996 the entire administrative machinery had collapsed and the infrastructure was almost ruined due to ten year’s of terrorism, but the party with its visionary leadership ensured that not only the entire infrastructure is reconstructed but also unleashed an era of economic development. Slathia said National Conference, if voted to power, will open up new avenues of employment for the unemployed and offer better opportunities for growth and development of Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes and other downtrodden sections of the society. Slathia said political parties like PDP, Congress and the BJP have no agenda for the development of the state and only raise hollow slogans to befool the people. He urged the people to be watchful of the sinister designs of the political parties who during the elections make lot of promises, but do not deliver on them. Slathia said the people of the Vijaypur constituency are testimony to his political career and his commitment to their welfare. He promised that if elected he will work untiringly for the Vijaypur constituency and complete the un-finished agenda that he has chalked out for the development of the constituency. Addressing the gathering Th. Kashmira Singh, senior National Conference leader said the party has demanded judicial commission headed by a sitting Supreme Court Judge, to go into the allegations of discrimination between the regions. Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Vice President aid that NC has always stood for secularism and upheld secular values of the state and is committed to equitable distribution among the three regions of the state and shall continue for the equitable development of all the three regions of the state. |
