| 68 beneficiaries get IAY cheques at Dansal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 19: Director Rural Development, Jammu, today distributed cheques under IAY in block Dansal. A total of 68 beneficiaries received assistance.
The Director informed that Indira Awas Yojna (IAY) is flagship scheme of the Ministry of Rural Development for providing houses to the poor in the rural areas. He said that RDD is working constantly to ameliorate the lot of rural poor and this scheme addresses the housing problem of the poorest of the poor.
During his visit to model village Jandrah, the Director also inspected the development works and issued on the spot instructions for speedy completion of the ongoing works under NREGA and other rural development schemes. |
