| Apply play report: NMC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 19: Regretting delay over the implementation of the recommendations of the 6th Pay Commission in Jammu and Kashmir, Subash Shastri President National Mazdoor Conference has appealed the Governor to consider implementation of the recommendations for the state government employees at the earliest. Addressing workers rally here today, Shastri said the prices of all essential commodities are rising to the new heights with every passing day maling life difficult of the employees, more so, those of the daily rated workers and salaried class. He said since most of the states including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajashtan, Chattisgarh, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Karmataka have extended this benefit to their employees, the same should be got implemented here at the earliest. He recalled that earlier also on one occasion the new pay scales were given to the state employees and pensioners during the Governor’s rule in 1992. He further urged upon the Union Home Minister to introduce a bill in the current winter session of Parliament for declaring Jammu and Srinagar as B-1 cities. Among others were present on the occasion included Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochar Sham Lal Sharma, Bupinder Singh and Mohan Lal. |
