Indoor Badminton tournament organized by 46 R.R concluded

BARAMULLA, Oct 19: For the overall mental and physical development of the youth of district Baramulla, an indoor Badminton tournament organized by19 infantry Division's 46 Rashtriya Rifles in collaboration sports council Baramulla at the newly constructed indoor games stadium at Azad gunj Baramulla concluded today.
In the tournament 60 players including six girl players who played in Doubles, Singles game events.
With overwhelming response from youth in the townships, the final game contests were thrilling for spectators who lauded the players during contests with cheers.
In the ardently contested matches Bilal Ahmed won the men's Singles, Khazir Ahmed Ganai and Bilal Ahmed won men's double while as Ravleen won girls Single.
In this indoor games stadium many facilities of varied indoor games like Badminton, Table Tense, Carom Board and a health Club with a gym center have been kept available for the players.
On this occasion sports lovers, eminent citizens of town including top army officers were present.
This indoor Stadium will provide an opportunity to youth of the entire district including those hailing from the far off areas of Baramulla to play indoor games. Due bad to weather conditions in the state youth can hardly find it feasible to play out games and in winter it would be sports boosting attempt when youth across the district remain busy in playing different in door games.
It worth mentioning here that sports lovers of the both boys and girls lauded the steps of sports council and army authorities for organizing the Indoor games tournaments in the stadium.
Ravleen a young student player said, " We are happy with authorities move as organizing such indoor game events will help us in developing our mental and physical health. It was fantastic to play and win the badminton trophy."
Major General S A Hasnain General Officer Commanding (GOC) by19 infantry Division Baramulla said, "The aim of organizing such sports events is to channelize the sports talent of youth besides army is doing developmental work in operation Sadbhavana-XI. We want involvement of youth of rural areas providing them a chance to exhibit their talent."
Manger sports Council Baramulla Sheikh Mustaq Ahmed told media persons that besides education playing games is necessary of the over all development of person. He said, "Youth of the Baramulla had finding it difficult to utilize their free time, so we developed this stadium as an indoor games stadium so that they can play the games both in summer and winner."
Commanding Officer 46 R.R Colonel Satya Roop was also present.
