| JU honours geo-scientist | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 20: Dr. Jonathan Craig vice president Regional Studies and Exploration Opportunities Selection E&P Division Eni SPa Milan has highlighted the need for establishing the Institute of Energy in Jammu and Kashmir to cater the needs of the society. He pointed out the possible support through the Eni Corporate University, Milan, EGI, University of Utah and MPRG, University College London in establishing the institute the state. He was speaking at a function organized by the University of Jammu to felicitate Dr. Jonathan Craig for his contribution in promoting petroleum Geo-Science and Eni Children's Education program on Energy Efficiency and Global Warming in India, especially in Jammu and Kashmir. Ugo Astuto, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Italy New Delhi was the Chief Guest. On this occasion Franco Conticini, General Manager, Eni India, Stefano Santi, Commercial, Negotiations and Governmental Affairs Manager and Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sudanshu Pandey were also present. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Amitabh Mattoo honoured Dr. Craig for his commendable contribution in promoting Jammu University’s our reach activity internationally and presented awards to Franco Conticini for Eni India and Mr. Stcfanb Santi for Eni Milan. In his presidential address, he highlighted the achievements of the Geology Department and appreciated the efforts of the faculty in improving the image of the Jammu University globally. He said the University of Jammu is honoured to be associated with Eni in (lie innovative program of collaboration between industry and academia and between India and Italy, which reflects our shared vision of social and corporate responsibility towards humanity across the nations of the world. |
