| Revenue, forest officials share common platform | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 26: Under the guidance of Principal Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Shaleen Kabra and Commissioner Secretary to Government Forest Department, Sanjeev Verma, a training programme for the frontline workers of Forest Department was inaugurated at Revenue Training Institute Gole Gujral, Jammu. The function was attended by Rishpal Singh, Additional Commissioner (Central) FCR, Anju Gupta Principal Revenue Training Institute Jammu, Naresh Magotra, Principal Forest Guard Training Institution, Dumi and forest officers/ officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Anju Gupta Principal Revenue Training Institute Jammu briefed the trainees and dignitaries about the training curriculum and that this training program is first of its kind where the Forest and Revenue Department have come over one platform to solve issues like illegal encroachments, title suits, nishandehi etc. Naresh Magotra in his address stated that the program aims at imparting in depth knowledge of Revenue related documents, instruments and issues which the frontline forest Officers/Officials encounter in performance of their day to day duties. A similar programme is being run at Revenue Training Institute Srinagar Division too. Rishpal Singh, Additional Commissioner (Central) FCR who as the chief guest in the inaugural function, in his address thanked the Principal Secretary to Government, Revenue Department and Commissioner Secretary to Government Forest Department for bringing the Revenue and Forest Officers/Officials in one to one discussion which will be of great help to mitigate the issues resulting in many Court cases and thus hampering the delivery of justice. |
