The virtual rally was flagged off by RK Kalsotra, State President Confederation and Patron NSYF. RK Kalsotra said that J&K has approximately 1.04 lakh pending backlog for SC/ST/OBCS, educated and unemployed youth, for many years now. We have met Chief Ministers and Governors of erstwhile state, Lieutenant Governors of the newly formed UT about the issue of the clearance. But there has been no response from the government.
He added that the administration is conducting various recruitment drives but they should fill out the backlog first and then continue with fresh recruitments. Kalsotra said that PM Modi championed the cause of bringing ache din at the Parliament while abrogating Article 370, but till now we have not received any ache din.
Kalsotra also addressed the youth of J&K to come forth and participate in the movement to fight for their rights.
Dr Sameer Choudhary, President NSYF, lead the rally and while addressing the participants from Gandoh, Doda, said that the government is not being just to the vulnerable sections of society by denying them employment opportunities. The fight for the backlog is a long pending demand which has still not being accepted by the government.
He added that the students and youth of J&K are ready to take the struggle to next level if time demands, for getting the rights which they deserve.
He further said that in case the government does not pay heed to their demands, they’d be forced to come on the streets.
While addressing the virtual rally from Kathua, State Coordinator Roshan Choudhary said job seekers from sc, st, obc should come forward to strengthen the social justice movement launched by the confederation.
Dr Chetana while addressing the rally appealed to the women to come forward to save the Constitutional rights and join the confederation for the ‘save rights movement’.
