| Health awareness programme organized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Oct 22: The inaugural function of Health Awareness fortnight being organized by Medical Officers (Indian Medicine) Welfare Forum on the eve of Dhanwantri Jayanti celebrations. As per a release, Ajay Khajuria District Devlopment Commission was the chief guest on the occasion.
Dr, Virender Singh Manhas gave a brief introduction about the origin of Ayurveda and Bhagwan Dhanwantri, the God of Health and longevity. He recalled that 16 years back Medical Officers Forum was established with the aim of promoting health awareness in general and ISM in particular. Dr. Jagdish Lal, President of the Forum welcomed the guests and the Medical officers. He asked the Medical Officers to undertake various Health Awareness Programmes during the fortnight in their respective areas. He also asked the Medical Officers to practice Ayurveda for healthy living and promote cultivation of Medical plants. |
