DDC Vice Chairperson reviews progress on road projects

UDHAMPUR, July 26: Vice-Chairperson, District Development Council, Udhampur, Juhi Manhas today chaired a meeting of Block Development Council, DDC, PRI members and officers of various departments to review the progress on ongoing road projects.
The Public representatives complaint about sluggish work on CRF roads from Udhampur to Ghordi and Ramnagar to Dudu (I&II) and sought immediate restoration of PMGSY road at Gandtop (Basantgarh) vis a vis creating viable solution/alternative road alignment, Drain Channel in Khoon market by GREF to avoid inundation of shops/houses, providing proper water facility in Pingla Mata darbar, renovation of Udhampur to Ghordi, Saatyalta and Mani road, Langa to Chaphu road, Forest clearance of pending road projects, Inclusion of left out beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat scheme, Scholarship scheme etc.
The Vice-Chairperson reviewed the progress of work on various roads and asked the executing agencies to gear up the men and machinery in coordination with other departments so that targets fixed can be achieved within the given timeframe. The Vice Chairperson directed the concerned authorities to resolve the pending issues and bottlenecks, if any, to avoid delay in the completion of the projects.
The DDC Vice Chairperson sought cooperation from officers of different departments to take the development profile of the District to new heights. She said that the effective implementation of all developmental schemes is not possible without the active participation of district officers. She called upon the officers to ensure maximum cooperation with PRIs for effective implementation of development activities in the district in a real sense. She stressed upon the officers to work with dedication and sincerity and redress genuine grievances of the people pertaining to their respective departments.
Among others, BDC chairperson Ghordi, Aarti Sharma; DDC member Ramnagar-1, Mool Raj; DDC member Ghordi, Rakesh Sharma; DDC member Dudu Basantgarh, Ashri Devi and other officers of different departments besides PRIs were present in the meeting.
