| Hike salaries before Diwali | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 22: President National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri has urged upon the Governor N.N. Vohra to release the salary of all Government employees before Diwali.
In a statement issued here today, Shastri said providing of salary in cash to the employees and also to release the pension before festival of Diwali would help the fixed income group to celebrate the festival smoothly as in view of steep hike in prices of essential commodities. He said, salaried class is facing greave economic hardships, due to price hike.
The NMC leader’s also pleased immediate payment of wages of daily wagers working in the various government departments especially floriculture, PDD, which are pending for months together. He further impressed for regularization services of daily wagers, adhoc, consolidated and contractual employees before Darbar move. |
