JAMMU, Oct 22: Adbi Kunj J&K, Jammu held a literary cum poetic meet at its literary centre was presided over by Zeenat Firdousa, while Talib Kashmiri, General Secretary Adbi Kunj conducted the proceedings. On the occasion Sanjeev Bhasin was the chief guest.
As per a release, in the literary session Jaswant Singh Manhas presented his short story titled “Zindagi Aur Dahej” highlighting the menace of dowry system prevailing in the society. Shambu Nath Pyasa read his Dogri short story “Maan Meter” depicting the pathetic tale of an orphan child who had lost her parents in infancy.
In the poetic session those who read out their ghazals/poems, bhajans and songs etc. included Nargis Sitara, Talib Kashmiri, Com. Jaswant Singh, Ayodhya Rani Gamkhwar, Rajiv Kumar, Babli Zutshi, Shambu Ram Pyasa, Sanjeev Bhasin, Rakesh Tripat, P.L Parihar, Mani Lal Puri, Jaswant Singh Manhas and Sham Talib.
The meet ended with vote of thanks presented by Com Jaswant Singh, the release added. |
