JAMMU, Oct 22: District Election Officer, Jammu, Dr. Mandeep K Bhandari provided detailed practical demonstration in handling of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) to the Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers at a meeting held here last evening.
The officers from various departments including Education, Power, Agriculture, Rural Development, PHE, R&B, Horticulture, Revenue and other departments participated in the demonstration.
The District Election Officer, Jammu also provided detailed know how in handling of EVMs to officers.
Dr. Bhandari asked the officers to serve as master trainers after getting the EVM training and further train the presiding and polling officers for the ensuing Assembly Election in the district.
Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Mrs. Nariender Kour, Director Horticulture, Jammu, Mr. J. L. Sharma, Joint Commissioner JMC, Mr. J. S. Tondon, Tehsildars, Jammu, Mr. Gias-ud-Din and officers from various other departments were present on the occasion. |
