| Royal Dogra cut off in NC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 23: National conference leader and dogra scion Ajatshatru Singh is not sure of his fate in the party. As poll process is getting into the top gear senior party leaders have started lobbying for the Assembly tickets.Inside reports suggest that son of Congress leader Karan Singh, Ajatshatru Singh is missing from the scene and is unlikely to get a ticket from his favorite constituency Nagrota. Highly placed political sources revealed that ever since poll activity has started takin shape Ajatshatru Singh is not seen actively involved in the affairs of the Natioanl conference. He remained incommunicado with the party chief Omar Abdullah and party patron Dr Farooq Abdullah. During the period he also issued an advertisement supporting the role played by the Amarnath yatra snagarshh samiti much to the discomfiture of hte National conference leadership. His detractors inthe party lobbied against him and since then his own future is hanging in balance. Inside reports indicated that if Singh was not given the mandate he might switch sides and join other political party to stay in the reckoning. |
