REASI, Aug 2: District Administration Reasi, on the direction of Deputy Commissioner, Charandeep Singh, has decided to intensify Covid testing of the people entering Reasi Township, Katra, Mahore and Pouni areas to prevent fresh surge in cases.
As per the directions of DC Reasi, officials have been deputed at Check post Moori, Panthal of block Katra, check post Bhambla,Teryath of block Pouni including entry point Budhan, Kundardan, Kanthan, Sungri, Singlokote, Sarasota etc of block Mahore and Sarhi naka of block Reasi for sampling and testing.
The sampling is being done on a daily basis and concrete measures have been taken to mitigate the pandemic in the district.
As per the directions of Deputy Commissioner, passengers arriving at these entry points will be allowed after producing a negative RT-PCR test report, while those found positive will be mandatorily quarantined. "Test, track and treat will continue as strategy to check the spread of the disease," the DC said.
