| Octagenarian PoK national's deportation stayed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 23; Justice JP Singh of J&K High Court Jammu wing has stayed the deportation of 85 year old Qazi Ham Din, who entered in the India territory of J&K on entry permit through Chakan Da Bagh from Bhantini of POK. Justice JP Singh, while staying operation of deportation of the petitioner, after hearing the counsel appearing for the petitioner, issued notice to the Union of India through the Secretary Ministry of External Affairs New Delhi, State of J&K through Chief Secretary, DGP J&K, DIG Police Poonch, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, SSP Poonch and SHO Police Station Mandi and ordered, that until next date of hearing, petitioner Qazi Ham Din shall not be deported provided he files an undertaking that he shall not leave the jurisdiction of District Magistrate Poonch, without prior permission of the High Court and shall intimate the District Magistrate about his whereabouts every week. The petitioner claims to be the resident of J&K state has not lost his citizenship and shown his last desire to die on this site of LoC in his own ancestral home at Village Rajpura Tehsil Mandi District Poonch.
