| Lehar envisions Naya Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 23: A meeting of prominent personalities of Jammu based different political and social organizations chaired by S S Anand Lehar creation of political vaccum aftermath of Jammu agitation. It was also discussed that the traditional leadership of Jammu failed to serve the purpose of Jammu based people and new faces among intellectual should come forward to take a lead.
While addressing the meeting, Lehar asked all the invitees to come out from their shells and to construct a Naya Jammu, with all strength and power. He said that president of Jammu Bar Association, Sunil Sethi in a function, had appealed all the intellectuals and prominent persons to lead the people for its logical purpose as the prevailing leadership failed in its purpose.
Lehar further said that people are fed up from the anti-people policies of the political parties and other so called leaders and it is the high time to identify the problems of people of the Jammu province by approaching them at their doorsteps. He suggested that people are in the search of people-friendly leaders, who could dare to voice against the Kashmir centric leaders and the so called Jammu based leaders are only to appease the Kashmiri leaders for their petty gains and they are the party to execute discrimination with Jammu province. He suggested that a committee should be constituted immediately to identify the problems of Jammuites and added that a concept of new Jammu should be evolved among the people. He further said that all the sane persons should come forward to start a movement for building Naya Jammu. |
