| PDP put J&K on peace path: Mahajan | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 24: Vice president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ved Mahajan, MLC today said that PDP has carved out a new path of peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir and it was high time to further speed up the peace process started by the party. Addressing series of meetings after inaugurating some developmental projects in Nagrota area, Mahajan said that beginning of the cross LoC trade was result of the visionary policies being propagated by the PDP. Giving all credit to Mufti Mohammad Sayed for initiating pro-peace steps in this region, he said that the biggest achievements of coalition regime headed by Sayed was that it has created atmosphere for initiating peace process and taking Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) to normalize relations between India and Pakistan. Earlier, Mahajan inaugurated a hand pump at village Kathar for which he had given an amount of Rs 20000 from his Constituency Development Fund and also inaugurated a link road at village Lower Ranjan. District president of PDP Jammu rural Baldev Singh Slathia, Neeraj Sharma, vice president district, Kaku Sarpach, general secretary, Hassan Hussain, Bagh Hussain, Noor Hussain, Devi Dass and Sub (Retd) Girdhari Lal also addressed the meeting. |
