| Arms, explosives recovered from two hideouts | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 24: Security forces claimed to have busted two militant hideouts in Mendhar and Banihal areas since last evening wherefrom huge quantity of arms and ammunition, besides ten kilograms of explosives was recovered.
Defence spokesman said here today that a column of Army recovered a cache from the forest area Tain in Mendhar this morning at 11 AM.
The recovered cache comprised one AK 47 Rifle with three magazines and 150 rounds of AK ammunition, one Chinese Pistol with two pistol magazines and four rounds, three radio set ICOM, six Hand grenades and other miscellaneous stores.
In another incident, spokesman said that a joint column of Rashtriya Rifles and JK Police recovered another cache in general area Banihal, yesterday.
The recovered cache comprises of one Chinese Pistol, one Pistol magazine, 10 Kgs of explosive powder, one UBGL and two UBGL grenades. |
