| OBC Chairman JKPCC meets Principal Parade college | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 11: Advocate Suresh Kumar Dogra Chairman OBC Deptt Pradesh Congress Committee J&K along with the Vice Chairman Parshotam Mehra met with Dr.S.P. Sarswat Principal Govt. Women College Parade Jammu regarding the problems being faced by the fresher students especially those belonging to other Backward classes.
In a handout Adv. Suresh Dogra said "It's a big chaos situation among the students belonging to OBC category While filing the Admission form, as in the admission form there are some technical problems, In the SRO 294, OSC category is mentioned but no OSC column was mentioned in the admission form of the said college,only OBC and Underprivileged classes were there in the form which was incompatible with the SRO of Jammu and Kashmir,So the problem was brought into the notice of the Principal.
The principal patiently listened the Problem and many more schemes and policies benefiting to students of OBCs were discussed. He assured us for the early redressal of the said problem by discussing with Administration of University Grant Commission (UGC). |
